Fonteverde, an aristocratic 17th century de Medici residence, is located amidst the splendid scenery of the Siena hills. Built at a thermal spring discovered by the Etruscans, it recreates the atmosphere, the colours and the perfumes of the ancient Mediterranean traditions. It offers more than 100 different treatments from medical diagnostics to consultation on nutrition, from traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), Asian relaxation techniques to the ancient Mediterranean spa. The facilities include an intimate 11th Century chapel built on the ruins of an ancient pagan temple dedicated to Igea, the goddess of health. The chapel can be booked for romantic weddings.
