Healing at our partner hotel Six Senses Destination Spa Phuket begins the moment one sets foot on the idyllic island Naka Yai close to Phuket, Thailand. The Destination Spa provides an integrative experience of wellbeing in a sustainable learning environment that inspires lifestyle choices of all guests and hosts. Multi-day integrated health programmes with a focus on preventative wellness help transform lifestyles through complete immersion into healthy and mindful living.

The resort goes beyond traditional spa philosophy to create a bespoke spa experience that guests can both indulge in and take home. The resort's extensive spa facilities integrate four spas: Indian, Chinese, Thai and Indonesian. Spa services and treatments are based on and reflect traditional wisdom from these cultures and are provided in authentic settings.

The Six Senses Destination Spas’ Social and Environmental Programme is developed in line with the Six Senses core purpose: “To create innovative and enriching experiences in a sustainable environment.” One particular feature of the Six Senses Destination Spa in Phuket is that all the landscaping is edible. Fruits, vegetables and herbs are being grown in a fully organic manner without the use of herbicides or non-organic pesticides, under our own supervision.

Spa Facilities
The resort's extensive spa facilities, The 7th Sense, integrate four spas: Indian, Chinese, Thai and Indonesian, and spa services and treatments are based on and reflect traditional wisdom from these cultures and are provided in authentic settings.

Ayurvedic treatment rooms in the Indian Spa invite for indulging Shirodhara Meditative Balancing; the extensive water features in the Indonesian Spa set the right mood for the Balinese Inspiration or Javanese Divine Renewal. In the Thai Spa, Siam Sensations invite for traditional Thai experiences, and acupressure body or foot massages in the shadow of the bamboo trees in the Chinese Spa are ideally rounded off with a sip of tea in the Oriental embrace of the Chinese Tea Bar.

Spa Treatments
Life passages are wellness programs tailored to specific transition times or challenges life holds in store such as traumatic experiences or events, a highly stressful lifestyle, young adult hood, pregnancy, birth, relationship crisis, career changes, retirement. The underlying goal of all Life Passages is to guide the guests to reach their fullest potential in the present moment and turn these challenges into treasure troves for personal transformation, insight and refocus.

With preventative Wellness being a fundamental component, Integrative Health specialists and visiting consultants, all experts in wellness supporting areas such as breathing, pranayama yoga, hypnotherapy or equilibropathy add to the rejuvenating experiences in The 7th Sense.

Outdoor Options
The resort's beachside location makes it an ideal spot for water sports including sailing, windsurfing, sea kayaking, scuba diving, fishing and swimming both in the sea and in the infinity pool. Holistic fitness options include meditation, yoga, tai chi, breathing, Pilates and a private boot camp on the beach. For more activity, mountain biking and trekking or excursions to Phuket island or into Phang Nga Bay are on offer as are personal training, kinesis, posture enhancement and physiotherapy. And for those who want to take not only great experiences and inspiration home, hands-on skill development is available with cooking and Thai massage classes.
