Historic Spa Hotel Villa Astra is located on the unique «Emperor's Lungomare», the beautiful and famous sea-promenade which hugs the Opatija Riviera of Croatia. The unique location within the Gulf of Kvarner simultaneously offers a special combination of sea and fresh mountain air. At the end of the 19th century, the Vienna Medical School had already discovered the   natural healing power of the Gulf of Kvarner,  known  today as the Adriatic Gulf of Wellbeing. As a result, the Opatija Rivijera then successfully developed as a health resort for all seasons.
